Kazakhstan’s Andrey Golubev reached the semifinals of the Challenger tournament in Trieste (Italy) in doubles.
As the first racket of the tournament, A. Golubev together with Ariel Behar from Uruguay immediately started the tournament in the quarterfinals.
There he easily defeated the Italian Lorenzo Justino and the Argentine Marco Trungelliti with the score 6: 0, 6: 2.
The Kazakh-Uruguayan pair will compete for the final with Germans Yannick Hanfmann and Maximilian Marter.
The tournament in Trieste will end on August 30 and the winner will be determined. Another Kazakhstani, Dmitry Popko, ranked 178th in the rankings, reached the quarterfinals of the Prague 2 Challenger in the Czech Republic. He will advance to the semifinals if he defeats the 161st ranked Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech in the world rankings.
